Pacific I
The Pacific collection was the first, running from 2000 until approximately 2008, all captured on film using a Hassleblad 501c film camera.
Six Stones was the first photograph that made it through the editing process, made at dusk from the beach on the southern tip of Cortes island where I was raised, and looking toward Vancouver Island near Campbell River.
I was immediately captivated by the process. Seconds and minutes sitting in the gloaming by the camera as it accumulated the available light from a 243 second exposure. No sounds at all from from any human source, the deep peace punctuated only by lapping waves and flying birds.
